The position of Alumni Social Media and Marketing Assistant will assist with promoting Alumni events through social media channels. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging and creative online campaigns for a variety of Alumni programs, including Backpack to Briefcase, Alumni @ Work, Alumni benefit programs and more, with the guidance of the Alumni Communications Coordinator. This position requires knowledge of a variety of social media platforms, a willingness to research and fact check, as well as excellent writing skills.
Create posts for social media channels, predominately Facebook, Twitter and Instagram - includes both written copy and obtaining suitable images from a variety of sources.
Attend many Alumni events to live-tweet/post and engage online and in person with participants.
Research facts and information to write engaging posts targeted at a variety of demographics, including both graduates and students of Mohawk.
This position requires a student who has a general knowledge of basic electricity/electronics and a interest in this career. Working within the Department of Electrotechnology labs for organizing, clean up and maintenance of lab as part of the normal daily activity. There is a physical component of the positions requiring persons to lift and carry.

We're looking for a bright and energetic individual to join our Student Communications & Marketing team. The Graphic Design Assistant for the Mohawk Students Association is responsible for supporting multiple departments including events, food services and facilities. Graphic support includes the concept design to artwork production for posters, digital billboards, digital menu boards, web banners and marketing materials to support the ongoing business strategies of the MSA.
The Stoney Creek Graphic Designer is responsible for creating content for the interior screens that are shown throughout the campus on a daily basis. The Accounting Assistant will provide administrative support to the Accounting department, working closely with the Accounting Administrator and Senior Payroll Administrator. The Marketing Assistant will work with the staff of the MSA's Communications and Engagement department to facilitate student engagement through creatively communicating over a number of platforms, including information booths, events, digital signage and various social media platforms.
This position works directly with the Assistant Manager, Student Engagement to assist in the planning, organizing and implementing of MSA events including concerts, common hours, speaker's series and other special events at all Mohawk College campuses.
